2022 'Clémentine'

'Clémentine' has been produced since the 2015 vintage, taking its name from Andrew and Marie's daughter. Our 2022 vintage is a blend of 56% Cabernet Sauvignon, 34% Merlot and 10% Malbec.

Harvested between the 15th March and 8th April, the fruit was gravity-destemmed then hand sorted berry by berry. Fermentation and extraction lasted between 11 to 22 days. The wine was aged for 18 month in French barrels, of which 17% were new, before being blended and bottled in October 2023.

This wine is deep ruby in colour.

Beautifully expressive on the nose, it combines sea spray, violet, mulberry, and toasty oak notes.

The palate is medium bodied and composed, showing red and blue fruits accented by floral and coastal notes. There’s a core of natural acidity providing freshness and length, with balanced tannic grip to finish.

Reserved now, this is a wine built with quiet confidence, and will reward extended cellaring.

Best enjoyed from 2032 to 2035.
